Thought of the day

I thought I'd try to inspire someone who is going through a lot..because we've all been there. I personally experienced some tough times and I struggled through it, but I managed to look past it all and be positive about all the things that I experienced in my life, because in the end..it is all meant to teach you something. Some people will be a positive influence in your life and some won't, some will stay and some will go. They are all meant to open your eyes and make you appreciate the good and learn from the bad. If someone you cared about really hurt you and didn't appreciate you, don't hate them. That will not get you anywhere, instead, be thankful because now you know that you don't want to be treated like that again,and now you will be able to better distinguish who is worth the effort and your time. Just remember that everything happens for a reason..stop dwelling on the past and thinking about all the "mistakes" you made..they all had a purpose , they were meant to teach you a lesson..remember when you stop learning you stop living a meaningful life..so embrace all those "mistakes" for in the end, they provided you with a valuable lesson.. be thankful for everything that has happened to you and learn to appreciate it all ..everything has a purpose in life..even the negative events as long as you are positive about it and learn from it all..be positive and good things will come to you..believe! If God brings you to it, he will get you through it..Believe Some Quotes I found on Google to brighten up your day!

I really like the last quote because I can relate..until I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and suffered from really bad inflammation flare up I didn't really appreciate my health. Most of us don't wake up in the morning, being thankful for being able to sleep through the night pain free, that is usually the last thing on our mind. I can say, I am guilty of that because until I was unable to walk and sleep due to excrutiating pain and swelling I didnt truly appreciate how lucky we are to be able to walk with no pain, sleep pain free, enjoy daily activities. I couldn;t sleep without taking medication and every morning I'd wake up with stiff neck, shoulders and pain in my lower back. It was difficult to get up of the bed and most nights I couldn't sleep because my back and neck hurt so bad and the pills would not work anymore because I became immune to them. So, really, we should all be thankful for simple things in life that we usually disregard and don't appreciate it until something happens to use that makes us realize how lucky we are to be alive, and healthy, because some people are not so lucky and are struggling to make it by day by day. And funny thing is a lot of those people appreciate life more than we do. I am not saying I have it that bad , I am just saying that I am thankful for everything that happened because I really learned to appreciate everything that I once had that was a luxury than, but I didn't appreciate it and now even basic things like opening a door knob can be a struggle. So again, be thankful for everything you have, because somewhere out there, people are fighting to survive, fighting cancer, fighting diseases and simply fighting to live and would do anything to be able to have food and water, and to them it would be luxury, meanwhile most of us simply disregard this "luxury"

Ion Titanium 1 1/2 PRO Curling Iron Review

Recently I purchased Ion Titanium 1 1/2 PRO Curling Iron from Sallys and I am not too impressed. I have their straightner and I absolutely love it but not too impressed with the curling iron. Here are some pros and cons Pro: -Fairly cheap $49.99 -Heats up to 430F -Long Cord -Insulated tip but not thumbrest (which is a con for me) -Ceramic -Auto shut off after 60 minutes -Heats up fast Cons: -You have to keep it in your hair longer than 20 sec to see any results (or at least I did) -Curls do not last long -Though the tip and thumb rest are insulated and are supposed to protect from the heat only the tip does, and the thumb rest does not protect form heat Although this curling iron has a lot of great features, it is not for me. It did not produce the curls I wanted and it took a really long time to get any curls. I had to keep re-doing it over and over again. The heat settings are a little bit confusing at first because it goes from 180, 300 and then 430 but there is also I, II, III on it and you have it line it up. I also did not like the fact that the thumb rest is not insulated..it states it is but it is not. Heat penetrates through it and it gets really hot to the point where it is uncomfortable to hold. It did not work for me, however it might work for someone else. I did like the fact that it has auto shut off after 60 minutes because if you are in a rush and forget to turn it off it will automatically shut off, and the long cord is a bonus.

It does have some good features.

update..why I haven't been updating a lot..

Sorry guys for not updating..I feel like lately I've just been posting more and more of these "updates". I feel like it's time for me to let it all out.. The real truth is in the past 2 years I've been dealing with a lot. From another break up to a lot of health issues..from one surgery to another..to countless failed treatments..its all been a lot and I kinda lost the passion for everything I once loved. During those times I gained a lot of weight..well (30 pounds) to some that's not a lot but for me it was. I wasn't myself, I was feeling down and depressed..I was hanging out with certain people that were doing me more harm than good. After the first breakup things went downhill with me and my health. I was with someone for almost 5 years, we were engaged for a while..things happened that really hurt me but now that's done and over with. After that I dated for a while nothing serious and then I got more serious with another guy for 2 years. Now during that time I started experiencing all these health issues. It first started with my psoriasis which was very minimal at the time, and then my gallbladder attacks kept happening once or twice a year and I kept getting mis-diagnosed. Doctors kept telling me its just food poisoning. (this has been happening for 7 years but got worse with time..and the attacks I will mentione are the attacks during the last two years not the ones that Ive been having since 2003) I ended up in the hospital 2 times ( I was rushed with ambulance- and they still made me wait 13 hrs the first time and 15 the second) My first time that I decided to go to the hospital from this attack was right after my wisdom tooth surgery and I called ambulance and was taken to the hospital and admitted after 13 hrs but I was in pain for at least 15 prior to getting admitted..I had 3 different doctors look at me..and they just checked my blood..no one cared to do an ultrasound test. ( oh and my doctor did not want to send me for tests for ultra sound because he thought it was not needed ). After this I had 2 more attacks in one month. I was rushed to the hospital again during my friends wedding and waited 15 hrs..I was in excruciating pain..I was throwing up a lot and I started throwing up blood..I went to the receptionist and she just told me to calm down and have a seat like everyone else..at this point I was beyond pissed off with their horrible service and I decided to leave since she said it would be another 2-3 hr wait..so I just went home and suffered for another 2 hrs and then the pain went away. After this I went to a different doctor and told him what has been happening and asked him to send me for an ultrasound ..Few weeks later II did my ultrasound and it turned out I had severely infected gallbladder stones that were blocking the bile that neeeded to be removed right away so they scheduled me a surgery. After that I kept having turns out that my psoriasis has now turned into psoriatic arthritis and it started attacking my joints..I started experiencing swelling at first (which again was mis-diagnosed..doctor kept telling me its just because of the humidity..and so on..after he diagnosed me with psoriatic arthritis..so now the swelling became permanent..and started affecting more joints..I started experiencing stiffness..pain..this started getting worse in the winter..at one point I could not walk..my feet were swollen..my ankles were constantly swollen I couldnt walk or wear closed toe shoes.. my back hurt a lot..this not only affected me physically..it affected me mentally, emotionally and it started affecting my relationship with my boyfriend at the time and my family and friends..I was not able to do much, I was grumpy because I was in pain and I was upset about all this happening to me.Since I couldnt do much I started gaining weight..First I was put on naproxen for 6 months that didnt work then I tried some other pills..than I tried Chinese medicine for a while..I started feeling better but the swelling was sstill there..I was on methotraxate for a while but I stopped that because I was extremely tired everyday and started getting lumps/boils on the back of my neck...I was so scared of the side effects that I decided to stop..things were good off and on.. I was told I had to start biogical treatment which include Humira, Enbrel and so on but those are wayy to expensive and not covered ..For a while things went back to normal I was feeling great I was able to walk again - pain free..I was back to work..I even started working out ..and then BAM this summer inflammation attacked me again..this time it spread to my knees, my back..my neck..shoulders..I could not get up off to bed..it got so much worse..now a lot of my fingers are swollen..some of my toes are swollen..my back was all swollen..I couldnt breathe in the morning..and at night..it felt like my muscles were so tense and inflammed that they were pushing on my lungs..I went to the doctor again he kept saying it is normal im ok..he wouldnt do any tests...after this i scheduled an appointment wiht my rheumatologist and he was the one that sent me for xrays. Turns out the inflammation got worse..as I had suspected ( well most of it was super obvious since it was visible on my body. I decided to start going for acupuncture and chiropractor and that has helped me sooooo much. I can't even describe how much it has helped me..I went from not being able to walk at all..or even getting up to walking again and beign able to get up pain free..I had to stop a few weeks ago because since nothing is covered I slowly started using up all of my savings..so now I have to take a break..I'm hoping I can find some insurance company with good deals so at least some of my chiropractor appointments will be covered and I wish all those meds would be covered so I can start treating this disease that is affecting my life along with so many people who experience the same issues. So since Thanksgiving is approaching soon..for both Canadians and Americans..I also want to express my gratitude for my health and remind everyone that taking care of yourself is so important because without your health you really don't have much. It affects everything..the way you think ..react to things..how u view life..your feelings..emotions and so on..Please appreciate it..I am forever thankful for feeling better..because before I didn't really appreciate it much..like gettting up in the morning would be a hassle because I was lazy..now I am just thankful I can get up without pain so I dont have to pop a few pills just to be able to get up off my bed and walk downstairs... Be thankful..for your health and well being..there are people out there waking up every day in pain and living with pain everyday..and a lot of them seem to be more thankful than most of us...like the cancer patients..they always seem so grateful for things..we should be too..so don't forget to give GOD your thanks for everything you are blessed for in your life..always look for things you have and are blessed with Now on the brighter side..I started methotraxate again since it is the only thing I could afford at the moment..Been feeling better at least I can get up with minor pain..joints hurt at night usually and in the morning (swelling still there),,most of the time I can open the water bottle..because for the longest time I was unable to turn the door knob and even struggled with opening my own waterbottle..but things are better..i am being hopeful..and if anyone know of anyways I can get some discounts on any of those meds mentioned it would be greatly appreciated it...you can leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail xoxkissablexox@gmail.com..thanks

Update

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been having some health issues and have been in and out of doctors office. My arthritis had a few weeks long flair up and I could barely walk, there was swelling in my wrist and hands it was hard to type or use my hands. Now I'm a lot better started the treatment and some therapies..so far so good.
On the positive note, we are re-doing things around the house and I finally got a  computer table so I don't have to be all uncomfortable on my bed or the couch.

Nair-Cire Divine -strip free wax- REVIEW

I got tired of purchasing razors so I thought I'd give this strip free wax a try.I  purchased Nair -Cire Divine  strip free microwave wax for about $15.It comes with a little microwavable bowl and a spatula as well as moist towelettes. I tried it a few days ago and I did not like it at all. Here are the reasons why:
Cons:

• Too stringy
• Very hard to remove (the little moist towelette were not  effective in removing the wax residue)
• Does not come with enough towelettes
• Not effective- barely got any hair off and was painful (regular wax strips work so much better and are just as painful as this)
• Very messy
• Pricy 

Pros:

•  Microwavable

 Overall..I did not like this product and I am not planning on purchasing this particular product again. I like the regular wax better with the strips.This product would be better if it wasn't so stringy and if it was more effective in removing the hair and contained more towelettes that helped remove the leftover residue.The only thing I liked about this is the fact that it is microwavable . So in conclusion, if you want to use a wax , stick to wax with strips instead of this strip free wax or just plain ol ' razors. It is more effective but I will definitely stick to razors.

Oh and try not to spill it because it will be a pain in the rear getting it off the floor..and on top of all that I stepped on it and it's even harder getting it off your foot and all the things that get stuck to the bottom of your foot.

You only need a very small amount because it will leave your hair greasy if you put too much. A small (pea size) is enough and then just rub it all over your hair, focusing mostly on the ends.

It contains keratin proteins that repair dry/damaged hair. As you can see I really do like this product since it is almost empty. I use it after my shower and when I straighten my hair and I love the way it makes my hair feel after. Love this product.

I recently purchased this lipstick and the mascara and they are my two new fave products of last month.
Mascara- Rimmel -Scandaleyes-black 001 really lifts those eyelashes and curls them because the wand is shaped to curl your eyelashes and to lift them up. Most of my mascaras would dry up within a week or two but this one lasted for a while now and is still going strong. It cost me $6.99 because it was on sale and I thought I'd try it and I fell in love.
The lipstick is by Revlon and it's # 055  "Cupcake". It is such a nice pink color. I love my pink/nude lipstick :) huge fan.
The lipstick came to $ 5.99 and I believe it was  originally about $7.99.

D.I.Y Facial Scrub

If you want to try a natural facial scrub try making this.
Step 1. Cleanse your face. You
Step 2.Combine 1 tbs of brown sugar with 3tbs of honey in a bowl
Step 3.Mix the ingredients together. The consistency should be a bit thicker, not runny..but its up to you. If you want it runny add a few drops of water.
Step 4. Apply the scrub. Leave it on for anywhere from 5-20 minutes.
Step 5. Rinse and apply a moisturizer or your favorite facial cream.

I won this set from popsugartvbella give away on youtube little while ago but the shippment came in last week so I will be posting pictures for now and later I will do an update on their ghd flat iron and brushes. I love the set. The clutch is super cute, and it can be use as a traveling bag or a purse when you go out. Clutch included the flat iron, heat resistant lining that came with two hair clips.
