Totally random

Sorry if this is totally random for some people..this site is mostly about makeup but I like to add things that might be of interest of some people who are not all about makeup. I've noticed I've been getting visits from males to so I thought maybe add something that might be of interest to everyone.

Personal note..

Sorry I haven't been blogging much, I've been extremely busy studying for exams. Speaking of exams I have my first exam this Saturday at night. My last exam is on Thursday, Dec 17. After that I'm hoping to start blogging a lot more and get more tutorials up. I'm thinking about doing some holiday makeup tutorials. Maybe even video tutorials on holiday treats and cooking...but that will be on my other site probably or under a different section, not sure yet.
Anyways I should get back to studying. I'll be posting again sometime this weekend during the weekday.

Oh and some holiday fun..


Tonight I'm going to a Christmas party, I finally get to go out this week. It's been so rough. I've been sick and I've been studying like crazy. Hopefully it will all pay off in the end. Anyways..I get to boogy tonight oh yeah..

Oily skin

Here are some tips if you have oily skin


1. Washing your face in lime water will leave the skin dry.

2. Take two to three ice cubes ,put it in a small cloth and rub the cloth in your face.This will give freshness and removes extra oil from our face.

3. Avoid consuming more oily foods.

4. Applying rose water with ice water controls the oiliness in face.

5. Drinking lot of water will help a lot for oily skin.

6. For oily skin we can mix gram flour,curd and tomato juice to make a pack ,apply it in face for 10 minutes. After it get dries out wash in warm water.

Chanel's new fragrance- Coco Mademoiselle

The moment I smelled it I fell in love with this perfume. It's so feminine, and sort of soft,
and slightly powdery floral. This could be purchased at Shoppers Drugmart or The Bay.
I believe the big bottle is still around $120.
I'll have to write to Santa and tell him how good I've been and hopefully he'll get me this perfume :)

Shampoo + Conditioner Tips

You should wet your hair for about 40 seconds before applying shampoo. Once the shampoo is applied massage it in then rinse.
Next use conditioner and leave it in your hair for a bit: DON'T rub it in, this will only dry your hair.After you're done rinse the conditioner off, and it will leave your hair feeling silky.
You can towel dry your hair or blow dry it.
Another tip- if you do towel dry make sure you don't rub your hair too hard because it will get damaged, sort of just rub it gently or just pat on the towel.

Shampooing Steps

Always use shampoos formulated for your hair type – dry, normal, oily or chemically treated.

• Brush hair and scalp before shampooing to free any knots and to loosen dirt and dead skin cells.
• Use lukewarm instead of hot water to help in removing any oily residues.
• Wet your hair then work a small amount of shampoo through out the hair, gently massaging your scalp with the pads of your fingers.
• Pay attention to areas where makeup and dirt easily get trapped like the hairline.
• Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Repeat the process if necessary.
• Blot the hair with a clean towel to remove excess water before conditioning your hair.

Additional Shampooing Tips

• Use the correct shampoo for your hair type. If in doubt, choose the mildest formulation available.
• Do not wash your hair with soap or other detergents not formulated for the hair. They are highly alkaline and will upset your hair’s natural pH balance by stripping it of its natural oils.
• Change your shampoo now and then, hair seems to grow resistant to certain ingredients after a while.
• Whenever possible, buy small sachets of a shampoo to test and determine which one works best for you.

Always wiggle the brush back and forth so that it builds up mascara on your lashes.Plus it lengthens your eyelashes and gives them volume.

You should replace your mascara every 2-3 months
The old mascara doesn't go on as smoothly and it makes your lashes clumpy.
